In a city like Mumbai, it is very difficult to find restaurants which have open spaces, rooftop settings, romantic & cozy ambience. Known for its nightlife, Mumbai barely offers romantic space to the love birds who would love to enjoy the delicate music, candles, quite & peaceful ambience. Though it may be difficult, you can surely find a romantic spot in the heart of Mumbai & I just got to do that on my Date Anniversary night.
It was long since me & my husband got to spend some good quality time with each other. So I decided to treat him at one of the Romantic Rooftop Restaurants in Mumbai city named “LA PATIO”. It is situated in the middle of the busy Andheri area, however being at the top it offers a tranquil atmosphere perfect for us to spice up the romance on one of the most important days of our life.
It was a Tuesday night so we did not care about booking a table & just walked-in the restaurant. We reached there quite early & got to grab one of the most cosy places of the restaurant. We ordered some drinks to begin with & enjoyed it with music & karaoke. We ordered two different starters Jalepeno Poppers & Red Wine Stewed Mushroom. The cheese just popped out in your mouth the moment you had the poppers & the wine flavour given to the mushroom was just awesome & yummy. Both the starters just melted in your mouth.
The waiter suggested us to try out their hookahs..yes this place does offer hookahs where the basic one starts from Rs 800 onwards & other mixes are at Rs 1200 range. I am a hookah lover, but since my husband can’t tolerate the smoke, I personally had to give it a miss.
After tapping foots with my partner at the dance floor & taking a plunge of singing a special karaoke song for my lover (I have never sung on karaoke since I am a bad singer, so this was pretty much my first time)… we laughed, enjoyed & sailed through the moments.
Now after so much fun & dhamaal, we decided to have the main course. Since we were a little confused on what to order, the waiter suggested that he will ask his chef to help us out. Let me tell you the service was pretty quick, the chef came out & suggested us their specialities & there the food was, on our table in just 10 mins.
We ordered a Veg Classic Premavera and Broccoli & Chardonnay Cream Risotto. I personally loved the former dish, it was vegetables cooked in creamy sauce, served with rice, garlic bread & french-fries. The add-ons added to the creamy flavor. It was not too spicy or too bland, just perfect to the palette. The Risotto was simple, well cooked & had a different flavor. I personally like mocktails, so I generally keep trying new stuff while eating the main food course. So I ordered a guava pineapple mocktail with a hint of chilly in it. Hmmm..it was yummy, not very sweet..its not for the sweet tooth people & the after effect definitely had the slight taste of chilly in your mouth. I loved it !!

This place is for the Romantic ones, who would want to spend time with each other, stay away from the loud music, basically someone who wants a quite & peaceful setting. So don’t expect the atmosphere of a lounge or a pub, this is different.
So, hope you too enjoy this place the way I did. Happy reviewing!!
PS – I am sorry i could not upload the food pics since it was dark & the pictures were not coming great.
