MY REVIEW on AQUA IMAGICA

Holidays are special, you get to unwind, relax, enjoy, spend time with your loved ones so on so forth. I guess  after a long time there was a 4 day holiday in a row and me & my friends decided to opt for a thrilling holiday at ADLABS AQUAIMAGICA.

Initially I was super excited simply because it had been really long I had visited to some water park, plus my experience of Adlabs Imagica had been good; so I was looking forward for some thrilling adventure with my friends.

So we got the on-line booking done which helped us to save some money & headed to our destination. My first encounter at the ticket window was not that great. We were nine of us & they had no intimation that we had paid the money already through the on-line system. After showing several proofs like the the banks  message etc, we were finally given our tickets after a 20 mins long wait.

We hopped into the bus which took us to our destination, purchased lockers, dumped our stuff & finally were all set for the twist & turns and ups  & downs of the rides. We initially completed two of the simplest  rides pretty quickly, I remember the name of the one i.e Splash. It was fun & crazy way of  getting yourself to dip in the water after all the laps & swirls. It was awesome.

But the awesomeness of the place took a back step when we had to wait  average of 45 mins each time for any of the ride we visited.  Although we enjoyed some of the rides like Swirl Whirl, Twisty Turly, Zip Zap Zoom, the wait to get into it; got on our nerves. These three rides were unique & different. I have never ever sat in rides like these before  & hence it was fun & entertaining. But the long wait took a toll on me because of which I had to miss the main attraction of Aqua ie the Loopy Woopy.  Yes I missed it, bcaz the queue to enjoy this ride was long & I was getting tired due to summer heat.

So instead of enjoying the big thrills we decided to become a child all over again. We ventured into the kids section – The Pirate Bay. Although there were times we could not fit into the slide, we were enjoying the water & simplicity of the bay. It was fun to become a kid again.

Then was the turn of the wave pool, with DJ at its peak & waves flowing over you, it was fun to dance & splash in the water. One thing I liked about aqua imagica the water was good, less chlorine & yet clean. Definitely better hygiene facilities visa vis the other water parks I have come across.

MY RATINGS

  1. Service – 4/5 : I would have given 5/5, but initial time we wasted to get entry gets the score down
  2. Cleanliness – 5/5 : If I don’t have a rash on my body, it means all is good
  3. Rides – 4/5 : Different types of ride, hence worth coming here at least once
  4. Waiting Time – 2/5 : Too much to wait
  5. Value for Money – 3/5 : The express people were lucky, we just managed to sit on each ride just once

SUGGESTIONS

Although it was a fun experience, I feel the experience could have been better if they restricted the entry or identified some means that eradicate the waiting queue. Rest seems perfect.

So if you want to have a funtastic holiday, splash & play with the water, get the adrenalin rush going.. you know where to head #AQUAIMAGICA

TROPICAL FRUITS that one must eat on your TOUR to THAILAND

A person who loves to travel is also the one who enjoys exploring the native food of the place. What’s the point if one does not go beyond the burgers &pizzas. A true traveller is the one who explores local cuisine, embraces the taste & appreciates the food.

Well it may get difficult for some to tarnish their taste buds to things never explored before. Say for instance, when you walk down the streets of Thailand you come across bizarre foods one cannot even imagine. Some are hesitant; well some take a plunge to try out new flavours. However, every coin has two sides & so does Thailand. You would be amazed to find out the most extraordinary tropical fruits available. It’s a paradise to go on a fruity adventure offering a plethora of varieties.

We recommend 10 tropical fruits of Thailand which should not be given a miss

  1. Rambutan

Also called as SUPER FRUIT & one of the cheapest fruit. They look very similar to our homeland fruit Lychee, but offer unique taste with several nutritional benefits. The fruits have high iron content, helps in boosting immunity and treats common illness & diabetes. People in Thailand generally consume this fruit in their breakfast.

  1. Durian

The infamous durian – regarded the king of fruit is best known for its pungent smell variously compared to sewage, rotting flesh or ripe cheese. It is Big, Thorny & Hulky & tastes like a mixture of creamy almond. Although of its non-friendly taste, the fruit contains high levels of vitamin c, vitamin b & potassium.  We would say try once, you never know you would create your space to be among the durian lovers.

  1. Starfruit

Also known as Carambola. As the name says, the fruit bears 5 ridges giving an appearance of a star. It tastes sweet as well as sour & is very juicy in nature. The fruit along with the waxy peel provides good amount of dietary fiber that helps prevent absorption of cholesterol in the gut. This fruit is primarily used in garnishing.

  1. Dragonfruit

Undoubtedly this is one of the most attractive looking fruit among all. Ironic to its look, the taste is bland in nature. Dragonfruit contains some magical benefits like it reduces ageing, fights diabetes, healthy for the heart, soothes burn skin & much more. Reap the benefits of the fruit by just eating it.

  1. Rose apple

Its nothing like the apples that resemble at home. It is a crunchy, bell shaped fruit juicy in content, with a hint of rosewater & sour after taste. You may feel a little dryness in your mouth after you have consumed it. However, the fruit is commonly found throughout the year & is helpful to detox yourself, boosting your immunity& improving digestion.

  1. Pomelo

One of the best citrus fruits available in Thailand throughout the year. Its appearance resembles  a grapefruit having succulent & delicious sweet-sour flavor. The fruit is good for the skin & hair, well quite clearly visible among the Thailand girls

  1. Mangosteen

Much to its appearance ,this fruit is also known as Queen of fruits. If you dissect the fruit in two half, it feels like you are having a velvet red cupcake with a white frosty cream. The fruit is beneficial for person suffering from heart related aliments since it helps control blood pressure, reduce cholesterol & improves blood flow.

  1. Salak

The skin of the fruit resembles the skin of a snake, hence it is also called as Snake Fruit. Opening the layer of the fruit requires some creativity, but it ensure you enjoy the sweet sour white bulb. I find this fruit not extremely popular, but is beneficial to energize your health on the whole.

  1. Sapodilla

One of the best taste fruits of Thailand. It has a caramel brown, honey flavored flesh that gets sweeter & juicer as it ripens. The fruit is commonly used to carve in decorative shapes that helps enhance the overall presentation of your dining table.

  1. Custard Apple

One of the fruits we are closely associated. However in Thailand, this fruit is grown anywhere & easily available on the local carts. It has sweet succulent taste & is amazingly good. The only drawback of the fruit is each pulp is surrounded by a seed & may take a while to relish it. However the fruit acts as an antioxidant & is beneficial to fight infections & disease.

So when you visit Thailand, take some time to enjoy these tropical bites.

Feel refreshed, Feel energetic & Feel Tropical .

My Buffet Experience @ Tiffinbox etc.

Its that day of the month, where we officemates pool in to experience different cuisines & spend better time with each other. Food has been a very effective medium for us to create bond with each other, know people beyond their work life & spend time not talking work.tiffin-box-etc (1)

Well this month, we decided to go for a buffet spread purely because one gets the opportunity to eat variety of dishes at one go & also to avoid arguments like I don’t eat paneer, I  want spicy etc etc. among each other.

After much research, we finalized on having our lunch at Tiffinbox etc. Well to begin with, I like the name Tiffinbox, it makes you feel at home & makes you remind home kinda food no matter wherever you are.. Well that is how I would like to interpret.

With high hopes, we started with our 3 course meal with  soup & starters. Being a vegetarian I stuck to 3 starters – palak tikka, tandoori vegetables & shorba. My friends got only one addition of chicken starter. Well I thought it was a limited edition of a buffet but good food, not very spicy, perfectly cooked & most importantly tasty on the tongue.

tiffin-box-etcThe came the second course of meal which disappointed me a little. There were three varieties of vegetables/ sabzi – paneer tikka, mushroom peas & mixed vegetables with one dal. The sabzis were less oily though, but mediocre in taste. I expected the food to be hot but alas, it was not even warm. I personally did not understand the dal preparation, it was bland in nature with less or no enhancement of the tadka flavour. More so it was extremely cold which did not suit my taste buds. To add on, there was a stack of roti/ nan which had been kept maybe there since a long time & hence felt extremely rubbery when I ate.

The next came the desserts. It is said, if the cream piping on the cake is good, you would love the cake irrespective of the base offering. But there was no piping on the dessert. Confused ??..Well so was I. We were served only baby gulab jamuns &ice-cream. A buffet which does not offer a spread of sweet offerings is not worth any amount you pay.

So overall if i need to sum up my experience, I would rate this place as follows

Food – 2.5 out of 5

Ambience – 3.75 out of 5

Staff – 3.5 out of 5

Cost – 2 out of 5

I hope TiffinBox, you will take this feedback positively.
